Anthony and Kate both share the trauma of being the eldest and therefore they carry all the weight on their shoulders.
Anthony needs a wife while Kate needs someone to marry her younger sister Edwina, the story of how Kate and Anthony come together is worth the read.

I recommend listening to the book even though you’ve watched the series because there are some major differences between the book and the Netflix show.

The tension between Jude and Cardan builds up, we finally get to see more of them together, plotting and scheming to save Elfhame. I loved every second of this book.
Reading this book alongside the audiobook made the reading experience a one hundred percent better!
